Below are 2 versions of a digital spreadsheet for tracking D.A. numbers, based on the pamphlet The Numbers: One Approach (P-128).

The Numbers: One Approach offers suggestions of a way for debtors to track their income and expenses (“The Numbers”). The pamphlet includes a paper ‘spreadsheet’ that may be used as a sample worksheet to track numbers. You may purchase the paper pamphlet here.

Members of the WSC Technology Committee and other D.A. members have converted the paper sheet to a digital spreadsheet, and this is now available in two formats. It is offered freely and may be distributed.

Format 1: Google Sheets*

You will be asked if you want to make copy. Click ‘Make a Copy’, and a copy will appear in your own Google Drive*. This is now your copy, no one else can see your copy.

It is recommended to make another copy to enter your numbers in, and always keep a blank version for the future. This version is best suited to online use, within your own Google Drive*, if you have one.

You can enter your numbers and change the names of categories (change them in the January tab, and they will automatically change in all the other tabs) but we urge caution in making other edits

Format 2: Microsoft Excel*

Clicking this link should bring up a page where you can click the ‘make a copy’ button to save a copy on your computer or device for your own use.

This version is best suited to downloading and using on your computer or device. It is recommended to download or make a second copy, so you can use one to track your numbers, and keep a second, blank version for next year.

You can enter your numbers and change the names of categories (change them in the January tab, and they will automatically change in all the other tabs) but we urge caution in making other edits

—————–

Both digital versions of the spreadsheet contain complex formulae. We strongly recommend caution when making changes to the spreadsheet. Changes to any cell that has a grey background are likely to cause problems. We also highly recommend reading the instructions on the first tab of the sheet!

Members of the WSC Tech Committee have generously offered to provide technical support to members using the spreadsheet. Questions, comments and inquiries may be directed to wsc.techcom@debtorsanonymous.org, include “DA Numbers” in the subject line to avoid being labeled as spam.
