Demystifying the John H. Scholarship
The John H. The Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 to provide financial assistance to GSRs and ISR’s ensuring that every meeting—regardless of its financial situation—has a voice at the WSC.
This fellowship wide call gives us an opportunity to hear Speakers who knew John H. plus more background on how the John H. scholarship developed and works. After the Speakers there will be time for Q & A.
Make a Difference Today! Donate via Debtors Anonymous (scroll to the bottom of the page for the link) to support this vital part of D.A.’s global fellowship. Together, we can ensure every meeting is heard. Thank you for your generosity.
The Resource Development Committee recommended at the 2024 WSC that the Board change the following language in the DAMS (D.A. Manual of Service)
AFTER all the group’s needs are met, (including fully funding the group’s GSR to attend the annual World Service Conference), it is SUGGESTED the group disperse its SURPLUS OF FUNDS in the following manner:
25% GSB (General Service Board)
25% Intergroup
25% Area Group
25% John H. Scholarship
OR percentages determined according to group conscience.
