Tech Assistance

If you need assistance for any technical, session or schedule-related issue during the Convention, please read the following information.

Zoom Links

  • Zoom links to the 2 session rooms have been emailed to all who registered.
    • You are looking for emails from “Zoom” with the subjects “DA50 Convention Zoom 1 Confirmation” and “DA50 Zoom 2 Confirmation”
  • If you are unable to register via the Zeffy platform, please fill out this form to receive both Zoom links: https://forms.gle/zPqJyt7wJk84PeNf6

Zoom Rooms

  • You may switch between the Zoom 1 and Zoom 2 sessions rooms at any time
    • unless one of the rooms has reached the 3000-person capacity.

Zoom Translation Captions

  • Important! Please remember to select your Speaking Language (this enables your spoken words to be translated for others.)

How to turn on Zoom Live Captions [Desktop/Mobile/Tablet]

  • At the bottom of your Zoom screen, select [More]
  • Select/Tap [Captions]
  • Desktop: Select [Show Captions] Select the small arrow next to it
  • Mobile/Tablet: Tap [Settings], then tap [Captions & Translation]
  • Select your Caption Language (the language you want to read)
  • Select your Speaking Language (the language you will speak)
  • ⚠️ You MUST select your speaking language to be understood.
  • 🙏 Take a breath, bookend with fellows, and ask for help if you need it!

Zoom Audio and Video

  • 5-10 minutes before the session starts, your video and audio will be turned off. This is normal and expected.
  • Attendees are muted during the early part of a session.
  • During open sharing during a session, attendees should raise their hand to request to be unmuted.
  • Attendees may be given unmute capabilities and “start video” capabilities partway through a session.
  • During breaks, attendee audio and video will be turned on.
